Ụwa Asoebi Circularity Program
At Onuli, we believe fashion should honor tradition, celebrate culture, and leave a lasting positive impact. With our Circularity Program, we create an eco-conscious loop that transforms your cherished Asoebi garments into thoughtfully designed, high-quality products — keeping them from the landfill and preserving their beauty in new, meaningful forms.
Why Circularity Matters at Onuli
Fashion is about self-expression, and for us, it’s also about responsibility. African textiles carry unique stories, and with Onuli, we aim to ensure those stories live on sustainably. Our circularity initiative allows you to return garments — like those used in weddings or special events — to be re-imagined into functional products like aprons, pillowcases, duvet covers, sofa covers, hand mittens, and even stuffed toys. Each recycled item represents our commitment to sustainable fashion and your role in a greener, more connected world.

Empowering Local Artisans
Onuli collaborates with local artisans in Nigeria, primarily skilled women*, to bring these recycled items to life. Our talented partners carefully handcraft each piece, preserving cultural heritage while empowering communities. Every product reflects the artistry, craftsmanship, and dedication of these artisans, who ensure the recycled items meet Onuli’s standards for beauty and quality.
Upcycling and Transformation
Once garments reach us, our team sorts and assesses each one based on fabric, condition, and design potential. Only high-quality textiles are used, and each piece is crafted to honor the original material while maintaining durability and style. Where this cannot be upcycled directly by Onuli, the textiles are passed on to our other textile recycling partners.
Earn Rewards for Every Return
When you return an item, you’ll earn loyalty points redeemable on Onuli. Use your points to shop our recycled collection or purchase brand-new items from our curated Nigerian brands. With every return, you become a key part of the Onuli journey, helping build a circular fashion economy. Points are calculated based on the details of the return (item condition and material type).
